I was cleaning the pantry when I found a can of Waitrose rhubarb. Rhubarbs do not grow in Malaysia, and they are sold only in high-end supermarkets; and they sure don’t come cheap. I was really eager to make something out of it, most probably rhubarb crumble.
But behold! The expiry date on the can said June 2010. I was sure that would not affect the contents — it’s rhubarb in syrup after all. It tasted ok but because I couldn’t tell if it had gone bad (what was “bad” supposed to taste like?) or not, I decided to throw it out in the end :(
